Over April and May 2026, AZPR secured 12 earned media outcomes across five channels - print, online, broadcast, podcasts and social media - including coverage in Magpies Magazine, ABC Radio National, the Ballarat Times, Good Reading, Books+Publishing, Words & Nerds and Yellow Shelf Podcast. An author event at North Sydney Library is also scheduled for November 2026.

Background
Annie Drum is a Ballarat-based author and youth welfare worker whose debut young adult novel draws on years of working with teenagers through social welfare programs. Don't Forget to Remember Me is a coming-of-age story about identity, belonging and the value of true friendship, published by Bakers Lane Books in May 2026.

Brief
AZPR was engaged to lead the publicity campaign for the novel's launch, with a focus on reaching literary media, the education sector, and young adult book communities across Australia. The campaign included media outreach, advance reader copy distribution, interview coordination and placement across print, broadcast, podcast and social media channels.

Delivered an integrated PR, social media and event campaign that secured significant national coverage including highlights: Sunrise, The Today Show, The Weekend Australian, The Sunday Telegraph, Australian Traveller, ABC Illawarra and Urban List. The campaign generated an earned audience reach in the hundreds of millions while building a highly engaged digital audience from launch. Ongoing PR management retained.

Background
The childhood home of Sir Donald Bradman was relaunched in February 2026 as boutique guesthouse No. 52 Bowral under new custodianship after 17 years of previous ownership.

Brief
Lead a national communications campaign to relaunch the property, generate earned media coverage, launch social media platforms, and manage the official local launch event.


Connor Plummer Exhibition Launch

March 2026

Background
Launch campaign for the debut solo exhibition of award-winning Southern Highlands artist Connor Plummer, hosted at Berida Hotel, Bowral.

Brief
Provide local PR and media support leading into the exhibition launch to build community awareness, increase attendance and position Connor as an emerging young artist to watch.

Results
Secured coverage across Southern Highlands News print and online, ABC Illawarra, Highlands FM and Highlife Magazine. The exhibition launch attracted more than 220 attendees and generated strong local engagement around Connor’s work, live painting sessions and artist profile. The campaign successfully elevated Connor’s visibility as one of the region’s emerging creative talents.


Heartbeat of Australia Report

November 2025

ACM — Australian Community Media

Background
ACM released the Heartbeat of Australia report in partnership with Australian Regional Insights and the University of Canberra, based on responses from more than 7,300 Australians exploring connection, wellbeing and community life across regional Australia.

Brief
Lead consumer and trade PR activity to amplify the national release of the report, increase public visibility of the research findings, and position ACM as a leading voice in regional Australia.

Results
Secured consumer media coverage across Channel 9’s Weekend Today and Triple M’s Rural Focus radio and podcast, alongside trade coverage in Mi3 and Mediaweek. Partnered with Radio Release to commission and distribute audio excerpts through regional radio news bulletins nationwide, generating more than one hour of live broadcast coverage across 37 radio stations. The campaign successfully elevated national conversation around regional Australian communities and strengthened ACM’s positioning within both consumer and media industry audiences.


Debut Novel Launch
‘The One Remaining’

November 2025

Background
Launch campaign for The One Remaining, the debut novel by Southern Highlands author Paula McLean.

Brief
Manage publicity, media outreach, launch event coordination and social media strategy to build local awareness and establish Paula’s author profile.

Results
Secured media coverage across print, online and radio including ABC Radio Illawarra, Highlands FM, Highlife Magazine and Southern Highlands News. Delivered a successful launch event at Berkelouw Book Barn attended by more than 90 guests, media and local stakeholders. Grew Instagram from fewer than 40 followers to more than 140 through targeted storytelling and content strategy.


Illawarra Mercury — 170th Anniversary

Background
The Illawarra Mercury celebrated its 170th anniversary in October 2025 as one of Australia’s oldest and most respected regional mastheads.

Brief
Develop and execute a trade and consumer PR campaign to celebrate the publication’s legacy, strengthen community connection and position the brand within a modern media landscape.

Results
Secured coverage across national trade media including Media Week, AdNews and Mi3, alongside regional radio, television and social media coverage. Delivered strong community engagement through launch activations, stakeholder management and heritage storytelling that reinforced the Mercury’s role as a trusted regional news brand.


Inner Landscaping

Background
Launch campaign for Inner Landscaping, a self-development book exploring creativity, renewal and permaculture-inspired living.

Brief
Lead an integrated campaign spanning PR, media relations, event management, influencer outreach and digital strategy to establish Inner Landscaping within the wellness and lifestyle space.

Results
Delivered a sold-out launch event at Dormie House attended by more than 100 guests, media and community leaders. Secured coverage across Highlife Magazine, Breathe Magazine, Highlands FM and podcasts, alongside influencer engagement that expanded national reach. Continues to provide ongoing social media management and digital brand strategy.


Rochelle De Luca x Bangalay Luxury Villas

Lifestyle partnership campaign promoting Bangalay Luxury Villas as a premium coastal destination for mothers seeking relaxation and wellness experiences.

Brief
Conceptualise and manage a creator partnership with influencer Rochelle De Luca to deliver a targeted “Mum’s Weekend Escape” campaign across social media.

Results
Campaign content generated more than 10,000 reel views alongside strong engagement, saves, shares and direct booking enquiries. The partnership successfully increased brand visibility and drove confirmed accommodation bookings through influencer-led storytelling and audience engagement.


Southern Highlands Writers’ Festival 2025

July 2025

Background
The annual three-day literary festival featured leading Australian authors including Nikki Gemmell, Dr Anita Heiss and Toby Walsh.

Brief
Manage social media strategy, live event content and campaign execution to increase engagement, audience reach and ticket sales.

Results
Increased social media engagement by more than 30% and contributed to one of the festival’s strongest ticket-selling years. Introduced author-led video content and live coverage strategies that increased audience interaction and strengthened the festival’s digital presence. Ongoing partnership extended for the following festival year.
